PPOME
Business Process Information
- This transaction allows you to Create Organizational Plan data through the use of one consolidated view. Organizational Plan data includes Organizational Units, Jobs and Positions. ThePPOME transaction is a very complex screen, as there are four quadrants on the screen. It is critical that you have a thorough understanding of the infotypes prior to using this transaction, because during the creation of objects if infotypes are missed or skipped the object will not be created or related correctly within the system.
- For the purpose of this Business Process Document a new job will be created. The infotypes will NOT be examined in detail. Please refer to PQ03, PQ10, and PQ13 for specific infotypes related to creating new Organizational Units, Positions, and Jobs.
- Since Human Resources will be the owner of the Organizational Structure at UC they must receive the required online form from the requesting Organizational Unit prior to creating ANY objects within UC Flex. In addition, the requesting Organizational Unit (College, Department) should NOT forward their request to Human Resources until ALL required approvals within their department have been obtained. If HR receives a request for Organizational Management maintenance, that include the creation of objects, without the required approvals, HR will NOT complete the action in UC Flex.
- The R/O/C column in the field description tables below defines whether the field is required (R), optional (O), or conditional (C).
- On certain screens you may have to scroll to view some data entry fields.
- A job is created without relationship to any position. The relationship is created when it is related to a new position.
