MINUTES
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved the Minutes from the Local School Improvement Council/Board of Education meeting held on November 17, 2014 at Marlinton Middle School.

APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF VENDOR LISTING OF CLAIMS…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Hefner, the Board unanimously approved payment of vendor listing of claims in the amount of $35,988.90.
APPROVAL TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VENDOR LISTING OF CLAIMS …
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved to authorize payment of vendor listing of claims in the amount of $54,863.20.
APPROVAL TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VENDOR LISTING OF CLAIMS (LOCAL GOVERNMENT PURCHASING CARD)…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mrs. Hefner, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved to authorize payment of vendor listing of claims in the amount of $120,915.41.
APPROVAL OF GRANT AWARDS…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved Grant Awards.
APPROVAL OF EXTRA DUTY PAY…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved Extra Duty Pay for the month of December, 2014.
APPROVAL OF BUDGET TRANSFERS…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mrs. Hefner, seconded by Mr. Tritapoe, the Board unanimously approved the Budget Transfer Requests.
APPROVAL OF BANK RECONCILIATION…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved the Bank Reconciliation for the month of November, 2014.

APPROVAL OF STEVEN C. TRITAPOE AS COACH…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mrs. Hefner, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved Steven C. Tritapoe as volunteer Assistant Basketball Coach (girls) at Green Bank Elementary – Middle School, effective for the 2014-2015 season.
APPROVAL OF FFA TRAVEL…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Hefner, the Board unanimously approved, retroactively, for the Pocahontas County High School FFA Chapter to travel by school bus to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, departing Pocahontas County High School on Sunday, January 11, 2015 and returning to Pocahontas County High School on Monday, January 12, 2015. Costs associated with the trip will be paid for by Pocahontas County High School FFA Chapter.
APPROVAL OF 5TH GRADE BASKETBALL COACHES…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved Courtney E. Curran and Loretta E. Wayne as volunteer coaches for 5th grade basketball at Green Bank Elementary – Middle School, effective for the 2014-2015 season.
APPROVAL TO EXTEND CONTRACT OF CHRISTINE A. SMITH…
On recommendation of the superintendent and motion of Mr. Tritapoe, seconded by Mrs. Beverage, the Board unanimously approved to extend the contract of Christina A. Smith, to provide gifted services at Hillsboro Elementary School, an additional 2.5 days per week retroactively to January 5, 2015 through February 13, 2015, to be compensated $275 for each additional day.

On motion Or Mrs. Hefner, seconded by Mr. Tritapoe, the Board unanimously approved the professional and service personnel:
Green Bank Elementary – Middle School:EMPLOYMENT: / TONYA WARDER, as Assistant Basketball Coach (girls’) at Green Bank Elementary – Middle School, effective for the 2014-2015 season, at a supplement of $1,000. (NOTE: Position pending on sufficient number of players to make a team.)
Hillsboro Elementary School:
REQUESTED
TRANSFER: / SARAH C. BROWN, from Teacher of Multi-Subjects at Marlinton Elementary School, to Teacher of Title I (half-time) at Hillsboro Elementary School, at state basic pay based on degree and experience, effective for the 215-2016 school year, term of employment: 200 one-half days.
Pocahontas County High School:
EMPLOYMENT: / JEANETTE D. WAGNER, as Teacher of Option Pathway (GED) at Pocahontas County High School, at state basic pay based on degree and experience, effective January 14, 2015 for the remainder of 2014-2015 school year, term of employment: 98 days. (NOTE: Term of employment shall be 200 days each year thereafter.)
RESIGNATION: / RANDALL L. WARE, as Teacher of Electricity at Pocahontas County High School, retroactive to November 17, 2014
CREATION OF
POSITIONS: / Credit Recovery Teacher (2), extracurricular, at Pocahontas County High School, effective the week of January 26, 2015 through May 8, 2015, at $20 per hour, 2 hours per day, 2 days per week – not to exceed $1,200 per position. Positions to be funded through the Innovation Zone Drop Out Prevention Grant.
Pocahontas County Schools:
RESIGNATION: / RICKY A. IRVINE, due to retirement, as School Bus Operator for Pocahontas County Schools, effective at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
EMPLOYMENT: / Of the following as Substitute Teacher for Pocahontas County Schools, effective January 14, 2015 for the remainder of the 2014-2015 school year, as needed, at state basic pay based on degree and experience.
