if he cannot afford a lamb, two turtledoves or two young pigeons
one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering

nips its head at the front but does not sever it

If a person sins unintentionally against the Lord's holy things he brings a guilt offering (Lev. 5:14-16)

the priest shall make atonement with the ram of the guilt offering, and it shall be forgiven him
If a person does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment (Lev. 5:17-19)

It is a guilt offering, he was certainly guilty before the Lord

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS TO PRIESTS CONCERNING THE OFFERINGS (and also to the people) (Lev. 6:8-7:38)
The Burnt Offering (Lev. 6:9-13)
remains on the hearth on the altar all night until morning while the fire is kept burning
priest wears linen robe, undergarments
priest takes offering reduced to ashes from the fire and places them beside the altar
takes of his garments and puts on other garments
carries the ashes outside the camp to a clean place
fire is kept burning on the altar all the time
burn wood every morning
The Grain Offering (Lev. 6:14-23)
priests present it before the Lord in front of the altar
one priest lifts up a handful of the fine flour with oil and incense and offers it up in smoke on the altar, a soothing aroma to the Lord
What is left is for the priests to eat
as unleavened cakes
in a holy place, in the court of the tent of meeting
it is not to be baked with leaven
it is most holy like the sin offering and the guilt offering
every male among the sons of Aaron may eat it
whoever touches the offerings shall become consecrated
The offering by the priests when they are anointed
tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a regular grain offering
half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening
prepared with oil on a griddle
well stirred
present the rain offering in baked pieces as a soothing aroma to the Lord
anointed priest shall offer it
entirely offered up in smoke to the Lord
every grain offering of the priest shall be burned entirely, not eaten.
The Sin Offering (Lev. 6:24-30)
to be slain in the place where the burnt offering is slain
priest who offers it is shall eat it
is to be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the tent of meeting
anyone who touches its flesh shall become consdecrated
if any of its blood splashes on a garment, it is to be washed in a holy place
the earthenware vessel in which it was boiled shall be broken
if boiled in a bronze vessel, it is to be scoured and rinsed in water
every male among the priests may eat of it, it is most holy
no sin offering of which any of the blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement shall be eaten; it shall be burned with fire.
The Guilt Offering (Lev. 7:1-10)
to be slain in the place where the burnt offering is slain
sprinkle its blood around on the altar
offer all its fat up in smoke on the altar
every male among the priests may eat of it
it shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy
the guilt offering is like the sin offering; there is one law for them. The priest who makes atonement shall have it.
Also the priest who present any man's burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering
every grain offering that is baked in the oven, prepared in a a pan or on a griddle, shall belong to the priest who presents it
every grain offering mixed with oil or dry shall belong to all the sons of Aaron, to all alike
The Peace Offering (Lev. 7:11-38)
if as thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of stirred fine flour mixed with oil
with the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present cakes of leavened bread
he shall present one of every offering as a heave offering to the Lord, it shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings
the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings
shall be eaten on the day of his offering
none to be left over till morning
But if the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering
it shall be eaten on the day he offers his sacrifice;
on the next day what is left may be eaten
but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire
if any of the flesh of his peace offering is eaten on the third day, he who offers it shall not be accepted and it shall not be reckoned to his benefit.
it shall be an offensive thing, and the person who eats of it shall bear his own iniquity
flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire
otherwise, anyone who is clean may eat the flesh (1 Cor. 10)
But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord shall be cut off from his people
none of the fat, whether of ox or sheep or goat was to be eaten
the fat of an animal which dies or is killed by beasts may be put to any other use, but may not be eaten.
whoever eats the fat of an animal from which an offering by fire is made to the Lord shall be cut off from his people
and no one is to eat any blood
anyone who eats blood shall be cut of from his people
He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings is to bring them to the Lord with his own hands.
He brings the fat with the breast to be presented as a wave offering

the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons
the right thigh is given to the priest as a contribution from the sacrifices of the peace offerings.

Consecration of Aaron and his sons (Lev. 8:1-9:24)
Lord said, (Lev. 8:1-3)
take Aaron and his sons, garments, anointing oil, bull of the sin offering, two rams, basket of unleavened bread
assemble all the congregation at the doorway of the tent of meeting
Moses did so (Lev. 8:4-5)
Moses washed Aaron and his sons with water (Lev. 8:6)
Moses put the tunic on him, girded him with the sash, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, girded him with the artistic band of the ephod, put the breastpiece (pouch) on him, put the Urim and the Thumminm in the breastpiece, and put a turban on his head with a golden plate, the holy crown, at its front (Lev. 8:7-9)
Moses anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it (Lev. 8:10-12)
sprinkled some of the anointing oil on the altar seven times
anointed its utensils, consecrating them
anointed the basin and its stand, consecrating them
poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head, consecrating him
Moses clothed Aaron's sons with the tunics and girded them with sashes and bound caps on them (Lev. 8:13)
Moses brought the bull of the sin offering (Lev. 8:14-17)
Aaron and sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering
Moses slaughtered the bull
Moses put some of the blood on the horns of the altar and purified the altar
Moses poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar, consecrating it
Moses offered up in smoke on the altar all the fat and the kidneys and the liver
Moses burned the bull and its hide and its flesh and its refuse in fire outside the camp, just as the Lord commanded Moses
Moses presented the ram of the burnt offering (Lev. 8:18-21)
Aaron and sons laid their hands on the head of the ram
Moses slaughtered the ram
Moses sprinkled blood around on the altar
Moses offered the head up in smoke and the pieces and the suet
Moses washed the entrails and the legs with water
Moses offered up the whole ram in smoke on the altar as a burnt offering and soothing aroma to the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded
Moses presented the second ram, the ram of ordination (Lev. 8:22-30)
Aaron and sons laid their hands on the head of the ram
Moses slaughtered it and put some of its blood on the lobe fo Aaron's right ear and on the thumb of Aaron's right hand and on the big toe of Aaron's right foot
Moses did the same to Aaron's sons
Moses sprinkled blood around on the altar
Moses took the fat, the liver, the kidneys, the right thigh
on these he placed one unleavened cake, one cake of bread with oil, one wafer and
Moses put all this in the hands of Aaron and his sons and presented them as a wave offering before the Lord
Then Moses offered up these things in smoke on the altar with the burnt offering. They were an ordination offering for a soothing aroma.
Moses presented the breast as a wave offering before the Lord. It was Moses' portion.
So Moses took some of the oil and some of the blood and sprinkled it on Aaron and on his sons and on the garments of Aaron and his sons
Moses told Aaron and his sons to boil the flesh at the doorway of the tent of meeting and eat it there together with the bread which in the basked of the ordination offering (Lev. 8:31-36)
the remainder of the flesh and of the brad was to be burned
ordination to last seven days during which Aaron and sons were not to go outside the doorway of the tent of meeting
Thus Aaron and his sons did.
On the eighth day, Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders (Lev. 9:1-23a)
Moses told Aaron to take a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defect and offer them.
