Summary
University lecuring of students at B.SC. and M.SC. degree levels; supervision of graduate and postgraduate university students in Sudan (College for Agricultural Studies – SUST, Faculty of Agriculture–UK,Omer Al-Mukhtar University(OMU), Libya, Sultan Qaboos University(SQU), Sultanate of Oman.
Such an experience was enriched by teaching courses ranged from basic soil and Microbiology courses for undergraduates to advanced graduate courses in soil fertilitity, advanced soil analysis techniques & Biotechnology. Meanwhile, many training courses were offered for laboratory technicians & research assistants .
Also, supervising the graduation of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students and acting as external and internal examiner enriched my career in research.
Attendance and participation in numerous local and international workshops, seminars, conferencs and meetings with topics pertinent to soil science, research and applications .
Human resource development in the field of soil Sciences. Designing and implementation of training programmes for scientists on theoretical and practical field aspects so as to upgrade technical capacities and provide international experiences.
Administration of computers and relevant hardware/software for the different purposes of soil studies. This permits aquiring a good knowledge on computer-based packages for different studies e.g. SOTER, ALES (Cornell University, USA), and some of the known statistical programs (e.g. MSTAT, SPSS, GENSTAT,SAS).
My experience with AOAD enabled me to work with the issue of food security which is an essential mandate for the organization and added to my paricipation in social activites . I supervised and reviewed many studies relating to agricultural research and technology transfer.
