Member of the Development

Team: Works closely with the development team, the finance team and the state office leadership.

Basic Functions:

To support the development team and state office leadership through research, data collection/maintenance and the generation of reports designed to accomplish the objectives of the data base and donor/prospect research.

Essential Functions

· Responsible for all non-financial aspects of donor information systems for Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and Orphans Heart.

· Responsible for data design, structure and integrity, generating lists and reports – both regular reports and specialized reports – that assist with accessing important information and trending of donor information that supports the achievement of the strategic plans for the organization.

· Responsible for donor research as requested.

· Participates in prospect management.

· Manage the statewide training of staff with approved access to the database and provide assistance as needed.

· Responsible for identifying and evaluating prospects for annual, major, endowment and planned gift support by:

o Conducting biographical, financial and demographic research using search engines, as well as internet, published, in-house and interview sources on individuals, corporations and foundations.

o Analyzing and synthesizing research information to assess financial capacity, philanthropic tendencies, giving propensity and linkages to the organization.

o Collaborating in the development of gift strategies.

o Developing and disseminating information that supports planning and decision making

o Complex problem resolution and documentation.

o Analysis of business and user needs to implement application/file changes to improve the system.

o Performs database backup and recoveries.

· Assigns appeal codes and configures Raisers Edge fund accounts while coordinating with finance staff.

· Manage gift receipting process and oversees batch coordinator.

· Oversees acknowledgements for estate, stock and in kind gifts.

· Coordinates corporate matching gifts.

· Coordinates donor advised giving with donor advised funds.

· Assists in the assessment and planning for appropriate system solutions that best fit current and future business requirements that are consistent with the organizations long-range plans.

· Participates in training sessions for others designed to maintain and increase job knowledge.

· Establishes measurable goals for professional enhancement.

· Ensures that policies and procedures are in place as they relate specifically to areas of responsibility.

· Maintains personal and professional growth and development through seminars, webinars, workshops, books, software, publications and professional affiliations to keep current with legal issues and the latest trends in the field of fundraising.

· Participates actively to assure compliance in assigned areas of responsibility.

· Is highly motivated, organized, displays sound/mature judgment and integrity.
