Basic Rules and Regulations of Ricky’s Tiny Tikes
v Parent/guardian will be required to properly sign their child in and out of Ricky’s Tiny Tikes room. A photo ID may be asked to be shown when a child is signed out.
v Parent/guardian must remain in the facility at all times while their child is visiting Ricky’s Tiny Tikes room.
v Children will not be permitted to be signed out with another person unless authorized by the parent/guardian.
v Please pay for services at the front desk and take the receipt with you into the child care area.
v Service is available for a maximum of 3 hours per child.
v Ricky’s will be open to children ages six months to four years old, older at a parent’s request.
v Ricky’s will handle a capacity of twenty-five children.
v If a child continuously cries for longer than 20 minutes, the Child Care attendant will notify the parent. The Child Care attendant may request the child leave the Child Care center.
VRC Staff Reserves the Right for the Following Disciplinary Procedure
v Verbal Warning by VRC Staff to child.
v “Time Out” area will be used by VRC Staff (based on their judgment of individual situation).
v If first two levels of discipline are not effective, staff will write a behavior report and notify parent/guardian to remove child from the Child Care Center.
v If 3 behavior reports are written within a 6 month period, the child will not be permitted in the child care area for the remainder of the calendar year.
Rules in Regards to Food
v Drinks in a spill-proof plastic bottle or cup with lid will be permitted.
v Non-messy finger foods will be permitted.
v Chewing gum and candy will not be permitted.
Rules in Regards to Safety
v If a child is hurt or injured, staff will notify parents immediately of the problem. Staff will then fill out the appropriate incident report form.
v If a child does not walk, they may be kept in a playpen or excersaucer for their own safety (unless held by a staff member).
v Socks must be worn at all times.
v Fighting, horseplay, and unsafe behavior are strictly prohibited.
v Glass items of any kind will not be permitted.
Rules in Regards to Illness/Hygiene
v Please help us to make Ricky’s Tiny Tikes a healthy and safe place for our children. If your child has any of the following symptoms, please do not bring them into the child care area: Runny nose with colored discharge, fever, diarrhea or vomiting in the last 24 hours, rash, eye drainage, and lice.
v If the VRC staff determines a child is sick, an employee will get parent/guardian to remove child from the Child Care Center.
v VRC Staff is not permitted to administer any medications at any time.
v VRC Staff is not permitted to change diapers. If an emergency situation should arise the parent/guardian will be notified.
Ricky’s Tiny Tikes Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Monday – Thursday: 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
*Friday hours are available in October and November*
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.*
*Saturday hours will be available December 6 through April 25*
Sunday: Closed
Ricky’s Fees
VRC Member: $2.00/visit
Non-Member: $3.00/visit
For convenience and savings, the VRC also offers a 10-visit and 20-visit child care card that will serve like a debit card, allowing patrons to deduct childcare fees each visit from their account. Costs are as follows:
VRC Member: $18.00 = 10-visit card
$35.00 = 20-visit card
Non-Member: $23.00 = 10-visit card
$45.00 = 20-visit card
