March 2018
Volunteer Meeting Agenda
Detailed Cash Record Reports are due on April 1st.
Volunteer Background Checks- Beginning March 2018, any volunteer whose background check expired the previous month will receive an email reminding them to renew their background check. The email will contain a secure link to our background check company, Asurint. If a volunteer has not renewed their background check when prompted it will cause a disruption in their ability to access Volunteer Systems (registration). Renewal of the background check can only take place after the previous background check has expired. There is no cost to the volunteer. GSHG policy requires background checks be renewed every three years.
High Awards Training- A bit of a change is in the making and we think you will be thrilled! In effort to make High Awards trainings more accessible, we are going virtual. We have already announced our virtual Bronze Award training on February 22. But, we didn’t stop there. The April 17, Gold Award Training and April 18, Silver Award training will also be virtual. That means no matter where you are in our Council, you can participate! As if that wasn’t already exciting news, they are both FREE! Yes, that is right, I said free! Your girls will be responsible for printing their own resources off of our GSHG website prior to the trainings. Remember, these two trainings are mandatory for your girls to pursue their Silver or Gold Award.Leaders, even if you have already had these trainings, it does not hurt to refresh on the topic. Please email if you have any questions!
