7:30 - 7:43 – Each teacher at his/her number, Student Teachers label/stow supplies
Ebby (red) – 116, Joe (green) - 125, Edie (yellow) – 100, Kendra (blue) – 110
7:43 – Bell rings and we walk each class to the breakfast room
7:45 – 7:55 – K and 4/5s eat breakfast at assigned tables. (Ks breakfast tables are at the two tables closest to where the food is typically set up. Facing the food, we are in this order: Melahn, Martin, Viglianti, Mileham.) TAKE ATTENDANCE, BREAKFAST & LUNCH COUNT.
7:55-8:00 – Program – (Nikki will be in charge of playing music)
8:00-8:03 – Cleanup
8:05 – Already on our way upstairs to the Aud.

· Get hats by color-coded table. Gina Galle (blue), Andrea student teacher (green), Liz Schmidt (yellow), Andrea Bailey (red) check off whether they could recognize their names on clipboards. Simultaneously, student teachers and helpers also snap photos of kinders as they get hats.
· While this is going on, Joe will begin a physical activity with the kinders as they finish getting hats.
8:20 – Discussion (Ebby)
8:30 – Physical Activity (Edie & Gina) : “Do as I’m Doing” song interrupted with clapping (so we can teach the “getting your attention clap”)
8:40 – Read Aloud (Kendra) : Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
8:50 – Tours – Joe & Ebby (& the two Andreas) take red and green groups upstairs for a tour. Edie & Kendra (& Liz and Gina) take yellow and blue group downstairs for a tour. (Gina and Liz will go down a bit early and set up snack). (DON’T FORGET TO DO A BATHROOM BREAK FIRST!)
9:15 – Snack
9:30 - RECESS
9:55 – Line up to come back in, by color. (Joe takes Yellow, Kendra takes Blue, Edie takes Green, Ebby takes Red). Gina and Andrea S.T. go to their cooperating teacher’s rooms. Andrea Bailey goes with Joe, Liz goes with Kendra.
10:00 – In Rooms – First Rotation of Centers
· (Joe’s Math project, Kendra’s cutting project (a train), Edie’s self-portrait/name-writing/fine motor project, and Ebby’s literacy/alphabet project)

Things to Do Before First Day
q Letter home to parents for registration (including supply list)
q Get and attach crowd-control bracelets to kindergartners’ letters home
q Print off “My Kindergartner” sheets as forms for parents to fill out during registration
q Translate letter home and supply list
q Order hats for the entire kindergarten class and put names on them with tape
q Get bags donated in which to keep kindergartners’ supplies
q Buy 2 kinds of snacks for the entire kindergarten for the first two days
q Mark outside line-up spots with different colors corresponding with groups (sidewalk chalk)
q Write up schedule for the first two days
q Make a list of after school plans for kindergartners
q Set up play-time areas in the Aud.

q Gather enough digital cameras (4) to take pictures of kids at each table as they get their hats.
