DRAFT BRIEFING NOTES

A great chance for the Power & Sailing Boat Cruising Groups to spend a weekend together and what better place than our own RQYS Canaipa.

Saturday 24th

Depart from your home port at your leisure. Over Sea’er will be departing Manly at 7.30am. Once at Canaipa, find a suitable anchorage for your vessel either in Canaipa Passage or up the creek. Free time to get settled and enjoy the surroundings and set your crab pots for the crabbing competition.

1600: Sundowners & Nibbles ashore BYO (Dress Normal)

1800: Spit Roast by Kevin (Cost to be advised) BYO Drinks

1900:Entertainment until late

2030:Red Faces is back (Bring your skit, act, song whatever to win a prize)

Please advise your Cruise Captains of your Act Title.

Sunday 25th

Come dressed as your favourite Aussie Celebrity, you could be a cricketer, footballer, Rock Star, Movie Star or TV Personality (Prize to be awarded)

0800: Breakfast ashore BYO (do your own thing)

1000:Australia Day Games Begin, just 1 day early, Power v Sailing

20/20 Cricket.Entry Fee perParticipant is 1 can of beer, UDL, Cruiser or Rum etc (Winning team takes the drinks) Please advise your Cruise Captains if you would like to be in the team.

1300: Lunchashore BYO BBQ Meat & drinks,plus a Salad or Dessert to share

1500:Australia Day games continue, Sailing v Power

Mullet throwing, Egg & Spoon Race & Tug of War. Entry Fee per Participant is 1 can of

beer, UDL, Cruiser or Rum etc (Winning team takes the drinks) Please advise your

Cruise Captains if you would like to be in a team of choice.

1700: Sundowners & Nibbles ashore, Prizes for the best dressed celebrity, the longest Mullet throw & the RQYS Ashes will be presented to the winning Cruising Group

1800: Free social time

Monday 26th

800: Breakfast ashore BYO (do your own thing)

1000:Crab Weigh in & the prize to be presented for the biggest crab either species

1100:Free time & depart for your home port at your leisure.
