Judgement of the Teaching element will require evidence of emerging performance under a number of the following headings:
☐ / i) Success in teaching as evidenced by for example peer review, student response, external examiners’ comments / ☐ / i) Emerging contributions to the discipline or curriculum through the development of successful teaching and/or learning aids in the form of books, e-learning and use of new technologies; publications in the areas of pedagogical theory, new technology, learning or assessment theory / ☐ / i) Build internal networks and relationships with individuals, agencies and professional organisation / ☐ / i) An emerging contribution to the management or administration of adepartment / unit which enhances the effective working of the group
☐ / ii) Contribution to the enhancement of teaching and learning within the candidate’s department or school and evidence of emerging development / ☐ / ii) Disseminate outcomes of teaching initiatives in a variety of modes inside the College / ☐ / ii) Helping to run classes or workshops for other institutions / ☐ / ii) Departmental/unit level activities on behalf of the Head of School/head of Unit such as active membership of key committees, review groups, working parties and the like
☐ / iii) Contribution into the design or active development of innovative programmes within the candidate’s department/ school / ☐ / iii) Engage in CPD within and outside the College / ☐ / iii) Inputting into the organisation of external conferences on teaching and learning / ☐ / iii) Emerging participation in Learned Societies, professional, and other relevant external bodies
☐ / iv) Emerging development of innovative activities within the candidate’s department or College, which add value to the student experience, or employability / ☐ / iv) Membership at Fellowship level of HEA or in process of applying, Senior Fellowship desirable, / ☐ / iv) Involvement with exam boards at A level or equivalent / ☐ / iv) Activities whose outcomes have had demonstrably positive effects on the reputation or enhanced functioning of department/ unit and hence the College
☐ / v) Receipt of an internal teaching award
☐ / vi) Practice placements (significant administration or setting up of such programmes should be entered under Leadership)
