General information

Diving SA Officials will be conducting the School Sport SA diving championships. There will be no limit to the number of divers from each school allowed to compete, providing they are able to perform the required dives.

Entry fee

$5.00 each for competitors and spectators to be paid at the gate.

Each family will receive one program book.

Competition format and age groups

Divers born in 2009 and later are not eligible

Synchronised diving

Pairs would come from existing team members

Age groups for the pairs are the same as platform events and can be boys/ girls or mixed combinations.

Divers may use springboards and/or platform in synchronised diving.

Board options

Springboard:All competitors may use 1 and/ or 3 metre

Platform:10-12 years use 5m only

13-14 year olds may choose to use 5m and/ or 7.5m

15-16 year olds may choose to use 5m and/or 7.5m and/or 10m

19-19 year olds may choose to use 2m and/or 7.5m and/or 10m

In the event a younger diver is competing in an older division, the younger competitor can only use platforms specific to their correct age grouping: ie a 13 year old diver in a 15-16 year platform event can only use 5m or 7.5m.

Presentations

In each group a gold medal will be presented for first place. A runner-up certificate will be presented for second place.
