Introduction

GigaTrust’s innovative content security solution is built exclusively on the foundation of Microsoft's Rights Management Services (RMS). GigaTrust is a solution that extends rights management to non-Windows platforms securely and without compromise to the underlying technical architecture—plus provides a native viewing experience.

GigaTrust For BlackBerry

GigaTrust for BlackBerry provides Microsoft Rights Management (RM) capabilities to the BlackBerry handheld. A user can view RM protected email and supported attachments, as well as create RM protected email. An Offline Access feature allows users to view protected email and supported attachments when not connected to the Internet. Protected content remains protected at rest, in transit, or in use.

Devices Supported

·  GigaTrust supports BlackBerry handhelds as well as iOS devices which include iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (generation 2 and higher).

·  For BlackBerry OS 4.5 and higher:

o  RM protected email can be created.

o  RM protected Microsoft Office attachments and Adobe PDF attachments can be consumed.

·  For BlackBerry OS 4.2-4.4:

o  RM protected email can be created.

o  RM protected email can be consumed but attachments are not supported.

BlackBerry Client Deployment

BlackBerry Client Deployment is performed with two steps:

·  GigaTrust BES IT Policy and Client Software will be push over the air.

·  To check the connectivity with the server. You can browse this URL:

Given below screen will appear.

Retrieving RMS Protected e-mail on BlackBerry

·  Initially you are prompted for your username and password, and then the protected message is displayed in the GigaTrust Viewer.

·  You may have the option to save your password. If the password is saved, protected messages will display automatically from then on.

Creating RMS Protected e-mail on BlackBerry

·  Compose your email as usual. Then select the Protect with GigaTrust option. This displays the Permissions options.

·  Enter your GigaTrust User ID and password and optionally select to save the password on the BlackBerry
