Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Allowances (to be discussed)

Hours: 36 hours/week

Annual leave: 25 days + 8 days public/bank holidays

Purpose

  • To have overall responsibility for the operational delivery and development of care services offered by the Scheme to meet the needs of carers in Crossroads Care Enfield’s area of benefit ensuring that the Scheme complies with all Carers Trust policies and procedures with all relevant legislation and quality standards.
  • The post holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will deputise in the absence of the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive.

Responsibilities

  • To lead and line manage the operational staff team by being responsible for developing and implementing appropriate recruitment, selection, induction, training, supervision, appraisal, performance management and staff development plans.
  • To ensure that referrals, assessment and re-assessment of needs, care planning and delivery of appropriate services to families are dealt with speedily, sensitively and in a person-centred way, initiating and ensuring standards of service delivery are in line with regulatory and quality requirements and are subject to continuous improvement and efficiencies. Ensuring communications with existing and potential clients are user-friendly, accessible and timely and that any complaints or issues arising concerning the service are dealt with promptly according to procedures and protocols. To manage and ensure the co-ordination and supervision of the work of care staff, including the allocation of staff on the on-call provision/rota, to provide an effective and high quality service to all clients and to ensure the health and safety of clients during service delivery ensuring that procedures on safe-guarding are applied at all times.
  • To manage all Crossroads Care Enfield service delivery contracts attending review meetings with commissioners, funders and others as appropriate, ensuring legal and quality requirements of CQC (including preparation and analysis of service evaluation surveys), health and safety and other inspection regimes are met; to be the contract manager and budget-holder for each service and monitoring and reporting on service delivery against financial targets, ensuring staffing levels and other resources are adequate and appropriate for each contract

  • To undertake any other duties that may be considered commensurate with the level of the post.
