Materials
Key Points / ·  Persuasive Technique= tools that writers use to persuade their audience to do something or believe something.
1. Bandwagon/Peer Pressure = persuades audience to do or believe something because EVERYONE is doing it.
2. Testimonial/Big Names = using words of an expert or famous person to persuade an audience
3. Loaded Words = persuades an audience by using words that seem either more positive or more negative
4. Pathos/Emotional Appeal = words or phrases that persuade the audience by stirring emotions in the reader
5. Logos/Research = using logic, numbers, facts, data, scientific research, and graphs to support your stance
6. Ethos = making yourself seem trustworthy and believable
7. Kairos = building a sense of urgency for your cause
8. Hyperbole = extreme exaggeration
