Dear Parents!!
Spring has finally arrived and the children have been excited with the warmer weather and experiencing the school’s playground! We had a ton of fun learning about the life cycle of a butterfly last month! The children’s favorite activity by far was the release of our butterflies! Some were willing to touch and some just loved to observe! Ask your child what the life cycle of a butterfly is and see if they remember! They learned big words such as cocoon and chrysalis..can you believe it?! Last month, we also learned about ponds and the life cycle of a frog. The students are really beginning to understand the basics of science; I am so proud of them! The end of the school year is quickly approaching and I cannot believe how fast the school year went by!
Our themes for May include Zoo, Mother’s Day, and Ocean!
Vocabulary for the Month:
*zoo*mother (mom)*wet/dry
*visit*love*green
*zoo animals *(take) care*blue
*cage*happy*different bodies of water (pond, lake, river, ocean)
