Associate Deans and Academic Support Group Meeting

Minutes: The 3/5/13 minutes were approved.
Announcements:
· Commencement registration is now open for faculty and graduates on the Denver Campus. Faculty who plan on participating must register even if they own their regalia. It is important that we know who will be attending. The deadline for requesting hoods for specific alma maters is April 23. The last day to register online is May 6.

Discussion Items:
1. Office of Policy and Efficiency (attachment): Leonard Dinegar & Dan Montez gave an update on work of the Office of Policy and Efficiency. Included were examples of system administration efficiencies and the results of a recent survey of university constituents. Feedback and suggestions should be sent to Leonard Dinegar and Dan Montez .
2. Canvas Update (handout): Dave gave an update on Canvas transition from Black Board and eCollege to Canvas. The pilot results indicated strong support to move to Canvas. Dave distributed a draft email announcement (sent to AD/ASG) to send to faculty and others. He also said he welcomes invitations to attend faculty meetings to discuss the project.
3. Campus Web Homepage: Bob Tolsma, Regina Kilkenny, Karen Klimczak and Jeremy Fulbright gave an update on the new campus web home page. A few highlights include:
· A new design for the consolidated university homepage and new landing pages for faculty/staff and current students will launch on 5/29/13.
· This project is to increase services to internal audiences and focus content on the homepage for external audiences.
4. Upgrade for Student Email Project: Lori Williams and Dan Haggar described the student email project. The upgrade will occur by June 1st; highlights:
· The email addresses will not change.
· Mailbox sizes will be increased.
· No action is required from the students.
