Objective:

To obtain a clinical position in an outpatient Physical Therapy facility emphasizing in Orthopedic conditions, while continuing to develop my interests in manual therapy and dry needling.

Work Experience:

  • Atlantic Physical Therapy- Virginia Beach, VA- June 2014- July 2014
  • Worked with a patient population of high school athletes, geriatric and Medicare, post-surgical, various orthopedic conditions/injuries, and becoming proficient in Direct Access evaluations
  • Gained experience with marketing and patient recruitment by opening a satellite clinic at Virginia Beach Tennis and Country Club
  • Became proficient in running and tennis stroke analysis for injury prevention

  • Worked with a large variety in patient population, including high school and collegiate athletes, motor vehicle accidents, geriatric and Medicare, and other various outpatient orthopedic and neurologic conditions
  • Becameproficient with managing full caseloads, developing plan of cares, communication with patients and their MDs, and billing procedures of the facility
  • Was enrolled in an orthopedic residency
  • Actively completing mentoring under two certified OCS PTs
  • Direction with complex cases and supervision with simple cases
  • Weekly discussions with mentors and other residents regarding case studies, new treatments, new examination techniques, etc.
  • Continued to focus on gaining skill and experience with Manual Therapy with a low PT to patient case ratio

  • Completed North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) Level I C-516 Cervical Spine I course- January 2015 at Lebanon Valley College- Instructed by Brett Windsor, PT
