Region 2 New Business:
Curtis thanked everyone for coming to the meeting and thanked the Schnecksville Fire Company for allowing us to use the facility.
Kelly stated that the Dirt Grands are in Wisconsin July 12, there was no other information available at this time. It is an indoor facility. Wisconsin wanted to run Dunlops as a spec tire, but it will be open tire for the dirt grands.
A tech seminar was held immediately following the meeting led by Dan Rauch of R Motorworks.

- The regional assessments have gone down sure to the low membership levels.
Region 2 Secretary
Jessica reminded everyone to make sure they are mailing membership forms to the correct PO Box. Some clubs are still mailing to the old box.

Region 2 Safety
Henry stated that helmets with a date stamp of 2005 will be good for the 2017 season but will need to be replaced for 2018. The sticker in the helmet must be SFI 24.1/2010 or newer. He also said that the SFI labels will no longer have a hole punch, they will have a printed date. George White stated that NJ will follow the 4 year seatbelt QMA Rule for quarter midgets. Henry also mentioned to check the bolt in the end of the steering column, it is a good idea to use a lock washer and Loctite. When completing safety checks, every tag needs to be checked on all the belt to make sure they are all good. Head and neck restraints are good for 5 years, you can get a new one or send out to get recertified. Sun Visors, no more then 3” down from top verticle bar and must be attached with 4 zipties or dzus buttons.

Region 2 Publicity:
Chris said that everyone should be sending photos and race results to AARN to get our kids in the papers. The kids are the ones reading the paper. She also said to send club race information to National Publicity.
Club News and Updates:
Garden State –George White said theGarden state classic will be the weekend after Easter. They currently have 14 Novices.
Honeybrook – Dan Nardi started off by letting everyone know that Honeybrook was very close to closing for good. He and his board are working hard to try and make things better. They are starting their season in April and have 3 Novices. They are also going to run a 5 race Tuesday Night Series.
Keystone – Mark Confer stated they have 12 Novices and start the first week in May.
Oaklane – Steve Schmidt said Oaklane is looking to hold the 2018 Grands. They have 7 Novices and open April 8th.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Joe Johnson and seconded by Henry Osborn. The meeting was adjourned at 3:04 pm.
