One-Day CPD Workshop:
‘Let’s Talk About Sex’
Date: 25th July 2015 from 9.30am to 5.30pm (7 hours CPD)

The workshop will be addressing how counsellors feel about talking about sex in the consulting room. The day will look at taboos and issues of resistance, in order to be able to broach this subject and hear our clients.
Clients often bring the topic of sex to therapy, overtly or covertly. It can be an awkward and embarrassing issue, not just for the client. How do we manage this?
During the day we will explore through small group work and some individual reflective time, how we as therapists talk about sex and most importantly how we listen openly.
Who is this workshop for? Every counsellor who wants to feel more free to talk to their clients about sex.
The Tutor: Louise Beaumont is a counsellor, supervisor and trainer. She is Relate trained with over 20 years’ experience working with couples, individuals, agencies, charitable organisations and companies. She isMBACP Reg accredited.
The Venue: Age UK, Unit 14, Hillview Business Park, Old Ipswich Road, Claydon, Ipswich, IP6 0AJ. There is plenty of on-site parking.
Refreshments: Tea and coffee will be provided at the venue. Please bring your own lunch.
