SHOW RULES
- For health and safety reasons, there will be a designated pedestrian area. No horses will be allowed in this area.
- Exhibitors should observe all signage in place.
- Only one handler and one assistant per horse allowed in the collecting ring and arena.
- Due to health and safety reasons, only able bodied persons will be allowed in the collecting ring and arena.
- We reserve the right to have our senior stewards disallow any animal from entering the arena should it be deemed unsafe.

SHETLAND PONY SCHEDULE
Standard Pony 42”/Miniature 34” and under at maturity.

** age at 1st January. No entry fee for young handlers but ponies must be entered in an in hand class. All young handlers must wear hard hats. There must be no colts or stallions (except foals) in the young handler classes.

- Appearance money paid on first 10 pre-entered ponies only.
- A maximum of £28.00 appearance money paid per class ie more that one pony entered will only receive £28.00

RULES FOR SHETLAND PONY SECTION
- Classes are confined to Registered Ponies (class 14 excepted). Ponies must be named on the entry form. Society rosettes will only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration ie foals.
- Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the show. All entire males aged 2 years and over must display a stallion disc
- There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 years old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-Hand classes. Children under 12 years old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interest of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In-Hand classes. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors irrespective of age in ridden classes. In ridden classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part.

This show is a qualifier for the 2018 Highland Pony Society Youngstock Championship. The Champion youngster across classes 2, 7, 8 and 9 will qualify for the Highland Pony Youngstock Championships to be held on 2 September 2018 at Strathallan Castle, Perthshire or on 14 October 2018 at Adlington Equestrian Centre, Cheshire. Only pure bred registered Highland ponies aged 1, 2 or 3yrs may enter. Exhibitors are not required to be members of the Highland Pony Society. If the Champion has already qualified then qualification goes to the Reserve Champion but no further.
