2017REAP Membership Information & Application
Against the backdrop of an annual $3+ billion state budget deficit, now more than ever, Alaska’s clean energy resources must leverage economic development and sustained job creation. REAP was instrumental in enacting the Renewable Energy Fund which has provided $259 million in grants for renewable projects statewide. REAPs advocacy currently saves Alaska consumers a combined 50 million gallons of diesel fuel and heating oil per year (saving an equivalent $100 million). In 2017, REAP will continue providing expertise, education and opportunities for collaboration to enable economic diversity and affordable energy in Alaska.
REAP is composed of a coalition of over 80 dues-paying member organizations that work to find consensus on energy issues. The three core constituenciesareutility companies, businesses, and non-profits. REAP also engages a wide variety of state and federal government entities who cannot be members but who attend board meetings and work closely with us. By maintaining both the size and diversity of REAP’s membership, the organization has been able to facilitate a conversation that is more likely to lead to long-lasting policy consensus.
Business and Utility members pay annual dues according to the number of full time equivalent employees (FTEs) that they have based in Alaska. Non-Profits/Educational Institutions/Local Governments pay a flat rate regardless of the number of employees.
Please complete and return the attached membership form to begin or renew your REAP membership. Forms can be printed and mailed or faxed to the REAP office, or emailed electronically to Development Director, Jodi Fischer, ; feel free to call 907-929-7770 x5.
Please don’t hesitate contact us if you have any questions about your membership constituency level or the associated costs and benefits.
