The Tournament Director, David Maxfield has final say on all issues. Assistant Tournament Directors: Bob Brown, Bob Perkins and Carolyn Bandouveres or their designated representative will act on any issues if the Tournament Director is not available. The Tournament Director will rule on all Game Misconducts & Match Penalties. Any organization that withdraws from the tournament will be assessed a FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR($500)FINE and all coaches from the team will be suspended from League Play for a minimum 30 DAYS & maximum ONE YEAR, at the start of the next season.

Playing rules will be USA Hockey

This event is sanctioned by USA Hockey

All teams and players/coaches participating shall be properly registered with USA Hockey.

Each team is permitted one time out.

HOME TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide pucks for the game.
  2. Provide adult penalty box attendant – zero tolerance will be enforced.
  3. USA Hockey Rule 201 = a team may have up to four Team Officials on the players bench.

VISITING TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

PLAYING RULES:

Playing rules will be USA Hockey regular season playing rules will be in effect with the following exceptions:

1. Squirt-Peewee-Bantam, all games will be played to SUDDEN DEATH.

A One (1) Minute rest period will be allowed between overtime periods.

2. Five (5) Penalty rule. Any player receiving a Game Misconduct as

a result of the five penalty rule will receive a review by the Director

prior to the next game.

3. PROTEST: If a protest is lodged by a coach during a game, the

Tournament Director will act on the protest immediately. If the

protest is not upheld, a bench minor for delay of game will

result. Once the game is completed, a protest can only be lodged

by the associations Seacoast Representative after presenting a $200.00 fee. If the protest is not upheld the $200fee/fine will be assessed to the

association lodging the protest.

OVER-TIME PROCEDURE Squirt-Peewee-Bantam:

If at the conclusion of regulation play the score is tied, overtime play will begin 1 minute after the end of regulation (no ice resurfacing)under the following format:

Step 1

1. Three on Three – Five minutes sudden death.

*Penalty situation:

All penalties will be served by USA Hockey rules

Penalties assessed during step 1(1.)

First penalty on ice strength 4 on 3

Second penalty when already shorthanded on clock same team :

Add a player ( non penalized team ) on ice strength 5on3

Do not return to 3 on 3 until teams on ice strength is 4 on 4 or 5 on 5

Step 2 (still tied after step 1)

1SHOOT OUT - Five (5) players shoot (MOST GOALS WINS). Coach will select the 5 players who will not leave the ice surface once selected. Each team will

rotate players and turns, taking the penalty shots. The VISITING

team will take the first turn.

2. Next goal wins after each team has a turn; rotating the SAME five

players used in STEP-2 and in the SAME sequence.
