Position Overview

Our paid ten-week program is a great way to explore a career with Westpac Group and give you a taste of what it is like to work for us.

Then our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) business will provide the perfect introduction.

CIB manages the financial needs of corporate, institutional and government clients based predominantly in Australasia. We are a market-leading provider of wholesale banking services with a growing presence in the Asia Pacific region. CIB sits within Westpac Institutional Bank, and as the client-facing side of the bank it includes dedicated Industry and Product Teams which work together to meet the needs of our customers. Working within these teams will help you gain a deep understanding of the exciting and fast paced world of institutional banking.

Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply for the Corporate and Institutional Banking Program, but you will need to have a strong interest in financial services with a solid analytical ability. Given CIB will often identify strategic opportunities for our clients, individuals with analytical, proactive and forward thinking ideas will fit well within our program and team culture.

Ideal Degree/Discipline

All disciplines welcome to apply. Interest in banking and finance is essential to this role.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a keen interest in the finance sector (ie. share portfolios, reading financial journals, participation in finance clubs).

Eligibility Requirements

·  Currently studying in their penultimate or final year of a relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree with an Australian university

·  Australian citizens or Permanent Residents

·  Criminal history clearance (to be conducted by Westpac)
