7th & 8th Bible: Old Testament Studies
END OF YEAR REFLECTIONS
This is an optional writing assignment for students who sincerely desire to raise their fourth quarter grade. All students are eligible to receive a full 20 points of extra credit upon the successful completion of this assignment. Students will not be given additional class time for this assignment.
The writing assignment must meet the following criteria in order to receive credit:
- Paper must be typed.
- Paper must be an individual effort.
- Paper must be written in a standard font, include paragraphs, and be double spaced.
- Paper must be about one of the three topics listed below.
- Paper must be submitted no later than the day of the final exam.
- (Please remember that students will not be allowed to leave the classroom during the two hour exam session for the purpose of working on or printing this paper.)
Any paper that meets the above requirements will be scored accordingly:
½ page or 150 words = 5 points of E.C.
1 page or 300 words = 10 points of E.C.
1½ pages or 450 words = 15 points of E.C.
2 pages or 600 words = 20 points of E.C.

Your paper must be about one of the topics below. The questions below each topic are suggested things to include in your paper.

- Has this class personally benefited you in a spiritual way? In what way?
- What did you like or dislike about this class? Why?
- What was the most valuable thing to you regarding this class?
- What changes would you recommend for this class?
- What things would you have liked to learn more about?
- Are there any questions that you have that were not answered in this class?
- Write a paper describing yourself from a spiritual perspective.
- Are you a believer in Jesus Christ? Explain your answer.
- If you are a Christian, explain how Christ saved you or is drawingyou to Himself.
- If you are not a Christian, explain your perspective of the Bible and Christianity.
- What spiritual questions bother or concern you?
- What things hinder you from being a Christian?
- What things make you the most happy? Why?
- What is the greatest desire of your inmost heart? Why?
- Write a paper about what it means to be saved and/or how a person is saved.
- What is a Christian? What does a Christian experience?
- Explain what you think is the difference between a Christian in name only and a Christian in heart.
- Why is it dangerous for anyone to just assume that they are a Christian?
- How does God save a sinner?
- What does a person often experience when God first begins to work in their heart?
- Can a person do anything to help Jesus Christ save them? Why not?
- What spiritual struggles do true Christians often have in this life?
