Math Olympiads
Dear Parents,
You are receiving this packet because your child has expressed interest in becoming a member of Math Olympiads. This program is a worldwide problem solving competition for students in grades 4-8. Currently our district is offering this opportunity for students in 4th and 5th grade at the elementary level. Theresa Nevins and Wendy Anaya will be facilitating the program for the 4th and 5th graders at Hidden Hollow Elementary. To prepare the students for monthly competitions, we will meet weekly with the team members. Learning and sharing problem solving strategies will be the main objective. We will also practice test taking skills using past Olympiad tests and always celebrating our team success. Competition tests will be administered on a monthly basis on the starred dates. Results of the tests will determine the top five students that will progress to the district competition.
