Statement of Purpose
East Early College High School is dedicated to working with parents, students, community members, Houston Community College, business partners and other stakeholders to improve student academic achievement. The goal of East Early College High School is that all of our students graduate from high school with an Associate’s Degree making them prepared and ready for chosen college and career paths. Since the parents are the child’s first teacher, parents are extremely valuable in the educational process. East Early College highly encourages parent participation on our campus. We strive to keep our parents informed of parent meetings, activities, grade reporting and important testing dates. East Early College High School wants parents to feel welcome and respected when they are on campus and we want parents to know there is an open line of communication (with administrators and teachers).
Parents of East Early College High School are encouraged to do the following:
- Stay aware of your child’s academic and behavioral performance in addition to their attendance and punctuality
- Work with teachers, staff and administrators to help your child reach high academic expectations
- Communicate effectively with your child on the importance of college and career readiness
- Encourage your child to follow school rules
Policy

Also there will be four Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings throughout the year (2 afternoon, 2 mornings). East Early College High School will involve parents in all parts of Title 1 including planning, review and improvement of Title 1 programs (SDMC, PAC meetings and other Title 1 meetings).
