Liberty Bank Youth In Action Award

Do you know a young person who has gone “above and beyond” in giving back to his/her community? We invite you to nominate him or her for the 2016 Liberty Bank Youth In Action Award!

This award is presented annually to honor a youth who has engaged in outstanding and extensive community service and/or philanthropy in towns served by Liberty Bank. Youth In Action Award candidates are young leaders who have worked hard to make a difference by volunteering, fundraising, and/or speaking out. They are committed to making our corner of Connecticut a better place to live.

The Award:

The award will be presented to a student in grades 6-12, and the recipient will have the opportunity to direct a $1,000 donation to the nonprofit organization(s) of his/her choice. Finalists in the award competition will be able to direct $100 donations. Every nominee will receive a Youth In Action Award tshirt and a certificate of appreciation.

Criteria:

We will evaluate award nominees using the following criteria:

·  Length and depth of involvement in volunteering, fundraising, and/or advocating for one or more community organizations

·  Impact of the nominee’s activities on people, nonprofit agencies, and the cause

·  Leadership qualities demonstrated by the nominee
