DNIESTER CONFERENCE INFORMATION LETTER

International Conference

“TRANSBOUNDARY DNIESTER RIVER BASIN MANAGEMENT:

PLATFORM FOR COOPERATION AND CURRENT CHALLENGES”

Tiraspol, Moldova, October 26-27, 2017

The International Conference “Transboundary Dniester River Basin Management: Platform for Cooperation and Current Challenges” will be held in Tiraspol, Moldova, on October 26-27, 2017. It will be organized by the Eco-TIRAS International Association of River Keepers with support of OSCE Mission to Moldova. We expect also support of German Federal Ministry of Environment.

This is the 8thDniesterRiver basin conference, and its priorities will be: i) small rivers and ii) hydropower and river ecosystems.

Similar to past Dniester river basin conferences, pre-conference papers can be submitted and will be published in paper version and on the Eco-TIRAS website. Papers submitted for the 2017 conference should adhere to prior Dniester conference publication format beginning in 2004 (one interval, Times New Roman font, volume up to 5 pages in length, font size 12). Please use the only Times New Roman font. As a rule, the article should include an introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions as well as a bibliography [1, 2, 5] or [1-3]. Any language can be used taking into consideration the target audience. The article should be submittedNO LATER THAN September 1, 2017, by e-mail to: . The email message subject line should be titled “Dniester-Conf_family name of first author”. All figures and pictures will be reproduced in black-white. Please do not submit drawings as these will not be accepted. All facts and figures should be understandable following black-white reprinting. The formulas should be presented in a way which excludes their changes in case of re-formatting. The article should be complete, verified by the author and presented in one file. The drawings and tables should be included in the text after their citing. The tables should be presented on the A4 pages, in a book but not album format. The Dniester River NGO Forum will be organized in the frames of the conference. It is expected that the Conference will adopt Recommendations, but NGO Forum – a resolution addressed to the governments of Moldova and Ukraine.
