O R D E R

The Delhi Medical Council through its Executive Committee examined a complaint of Shri. R.L. Pratham, r/o-C-104 F1, DLF, Dilshad Extension-II, Dist. Ghaziabad Sahibabad-201005 (U.P)(referred hereinafter as the complainant) alleging medical negligence on the part of doctors of Max Super Specialty Hospital, 108 A, Indraprastha Extension, Patparganj, New Delhi-110092 in the treatment administered to the complainant.

The Order of the Executive Committee dated 11th April, 2018 is reproduced herein-below

“The Executive Committee of the Delhi Medical Council examined a complaint of Shri. R.L. Pratham, r/o-C-104 F1, DLF, Dilshad Extension-II, Dist. Ghaziabad Sahibabad-201005 (U.P)(referred hereinafter as the complainant) alleging medical negligence on the part of doctors of Max Super Specialty Hospital, 108 A, Indraprastha Extension, Patparganj, New Delhi-110092 (referred hereinafter as the said Hospital) in the treatment administered to the complainant.

The Executive Committee perused the complaint, copy of medical records of Max Super Specialty Hospital and other documents as provided by the complainant.

The Executive Committee observes that Shri. R.L. Pratham presented at Max Super Specialty Hospital on 01st May, 2017 with blurred vision left eye since 3 weeks . His vision in right eye was 6/9 and 6/60 in the left eye. He wasseen by Dr. Vinita Arora who operated on his left eye for cataract on 12th May, 2017. Acrysof SP HOA intraocular lens was implanted. Vision in left eye on 12th June, 2017 was 6/12 P unaided which improved to 6/6 with correction. He presented again on 08th December, 2017 for regular consultation. His last

corrected vision left eye was 6/9 P and near vision N8. He was advised OCT left eye because of absent foveal reflex . The OCT print attached appears to be normal.

In view of the observation made hereinabove, it is, therefore, the decision of the Executive Committee that Shri. R.L. Pratham was treated as per accepted professional practices in such cases and primafacie no case of medical negligence is made out on the part of doctors of Max Super Specialty Hospital, in the treatment administered to the complainant .

Complaint stands disposed.”
