President Terry welcomed Rotarians and guests, Tom, Melissa, Nathan and Melanie. He also welcomed Kirra Pickering of the Peninsula Rotaract Club.

Tonight is a special night organised by Colin F to better understand how our club could help sponsor a new Rotaract Club in the District. Kerrie has had experience in establishing Peninsula Roraract and was instrumental in helping the new Casey Cardinia Rotaract Club. Four young aspring Rotaractors have also come along tonight to see what it is all about.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday) is our first Cornerstone Pizza dinner night. Will need volunteers.

On Friday Margaret and Peter will be helping with the Sailing for the Disabled at Lysterfield Lake. There will also be a presentation of T-Shirts.

Tonight there was a Board Meeting and it was agreed that $1000 would be donated to the Governor’s wife Cleft Palette project. In addition $500 would be donated to Painting for Parkinson’s for Arts Supplies. Phil has a supplier contact for Arts materials. $105 was raised on the football colours night.

The Rotary Club of Cranbourne is having their 48th Annual Golf Day on Tuesday 25th November at Ranfurlie Golf Course. $60 entry.

The Dandenong Club will donate $1000 to our Sports Night.

Invitations for the Charter night (Nov 11th) have been sent out.

President Terry presented PP Peter with the District member retention trophy.

Next week the Principal of Hallam Secondary College will be guest speaker.

Colin B and Phil talked to our younger guests on Swags for the Homeless and demonstrated setting up a swag.

Breathometer – The proceeds from the machine at the Dandenong Club accounted for $260.

Unfortunately our latest Breathometer application was not successful.

Hans is looking for someone to manage the Club historic records as he has no room to store them.

Athol and Phil met with the MC for our sports night and are considering a phantom race call on the night to raise funds. We still need MORE numbers.

Con will have the paperwork for the conference next week.

The annual John Feldman classic will be on Friday 7th November at the Sandhurst Club. 12.30 tee off, 2 competitions; stableford and Ambrose (if sufficient teams) $90 entry fees which includes dinner. All money to go to Brain Cancer research.

Happy birthday to Hans who turns 65 on Sunday.

Attendance Report: 19 booked and 19 in attendance. Apologies, Garry, Harry, Chia, Lou, Scott, Roz, Paul and John L.

Colin F introduce Kirra our guest speaker. Kirra has been a “Rotary baby” having been associated with Rotary thanks to her grandparents and also a Rotary Exchange in Sweden.

The Casey – Cardinia Rotaract will be chartered in January next year. The Peninsula Club has been doing some great fundraising activities. Rotaract is for 18 – 30 year olds. Kirra would be happy to help establish a new Club as she has some great experiences and knowledge on how to get a Club up and running. If our Club wants to be a sponsor Club there is no financial commitment just a lot of mentoring, joint meetings and activities.
