DISSERTATION SUPERVISOR APPLICATION PROCESS
Thank you for expressing an interest in Dissertation Supervision Opportunities with UCEM.
We ask you to apply via our standard Associate Tutor credentialing process. As a Dissertation Supervisor you will be part of this associate tutor group; once credentialed, your details will be available to our faculty resourcing team. This team will subsequently approach you about upcoming work.
In addition to providing your CV, please complete the application form available on the Jobs page of our website. Please provide as much detailed informationas you can; only where your CV duplicates information requested on the form, may you leave sections blank.
Please note that to undertake work you must have:
· Strong subject knowledge (and preferably academic experience);
· Strong IT skills and be comfortable using IT to deliver teaching and learning (our Virtual Learning Environment is Moodle); and
· Access to IT systems at home with a good internet connection.
For quality assurance purposes we are required to hold detailed records about our academic community of tutors; this also helps us to resource our tutoring needs more closely. If you do not provide the information we request, we will be unable to consider you for this work opportunity.
If we offer you work and you choose to accept, we would expect you personally to complete the work according to the agreed terms and conditions. If you turn work down when offered, this will not prevent you from being offered work opportunities in the future.
How to Apply
Complete and return the application form, with your CV and Academic Certificates.
IMPORTANT!
Please note that we must see original certificates and we cannot accept photocopies. As a last resort, we will accept certified copies (for guidance see: https://www.gov.uk/certifying-a-document). Upon receipt of any original documents we will photocopy them immediately and return them to you via the same postal method we receive them e.g. 1st class, Signed For mail etc.
