Functional Area: Benefits / Display Benefits Participation and Plan Overview
Purpose
Use this procedure to review an employee’s benefits participation plan.
Trigger
Perform this process when an overview of benefits is needed to verify employee participation or non-participation in benefits.
Prerequisites
None
Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:
 Select Human Resources Personnel Management Benefits Participation Overviewto go to theGeneral Overview of Benefit Plan Data (Direct selection tab)screen.

Business Process Information
The Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) reviews the benefits participation or non-participation of an employee or a group of employees as needed.
Helpful Hints
  • The R/O/C column in the field description tables below defines whether the field is required (R), optional (O), or conditional (C).
  • On certain screens you may have to scroll to view some data entry fields.

Procedure
1. / Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.
General Overview of Benefit Plan Data (Direct selection tab)

2. / Perform one of the following:
If You Want To / Then / Go To
View a single employee / -- / Step 3
View a group of employees / Click the tab. / Step 6
3. / As required, complete/review the following fields:
Field / R/O/C / Description
Personnel no. / Required / Unique employee identification number
Example:
10000008
4. / Click .
5. / Go to Step 9.

6. / As required, complete/review the following fields:
Field / R/O/C / Description
Benefit area / Required / Represents a set of benefit plans available to a particular group of employees who share a common set of attributes such as country or organizational assignment
Example:
Univ. of Cincinnati
Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate data.
1st ProGrp. / Required / Means of identifying a group of employees with common characteristics
Example:
Unrepresented Exempt
Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate data.
2nd ProGrp. / Required / Means of identifying a group of employees with common characteristics
Example:
100% FTE
Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate data.
7. / Perform one of the following:
If You Want To / Then
Add employees / Click .
Replace employees / Click .

8. / Click on the name of the employee you want to view.
9. / Click .
Change Selection Date

10. / As required, complete/review the following fields:
Field / R/O/C / Description
Selection date / Required / Employee information will be selected for processing based upon this date

10/01/2005
11. / Click .

13. / Review the displayed information.
14. / Perform one of the following:

View costs / Click the tab. / Step 16
View master data / Click the tab.
This is a shortcut to display information that is available in the PA20 Display HR Master Data transaction. / Step 20
View the overview / Click the tab. / Step 22
Exit this transaction / -- / Step 24

16. / As required, complete/review the following fields:
