Disabled American Veterans Bass Tournament

The following rules will be used for the Bass Tournament and will be Interpreted Solely by the Tournament Rules Committee, with all decisions final.

1.) ELIGIBILITY: Two contestants per boat.

2.) FIELD SIZE: 100 Boats

3.) Entry Fee: $200.00 per boat. This includes BIG BASS entry fee.

4.) CHECK-IN TIME: It is mandatory for all boats to check in Friday, September 21st from 1:00 P.M –

4:00 P.M. or Saturday, September22nd 5:00 A.M. – 6:00 A.M. at the Bull Shoals

Lake Boat Dock.

5.) TIME: September 22, 2007 from 6:30A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Note: Official Time Clock will be the Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock Clock.

6.) DEPARTURE: Starting Times will be determined by drawing for starting numbers upon check-in.

7.) TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT: All fish must be caught on rod and reel, using artificial lures. Trolling

is not allowed.

8.) FISHING RESTRICITIONS: Anywhere on the lake with the exception of no fishing within fifty (50)

yards of a public Marina or another Contestants boat.

9.) SCORING: 15 inch minimum length for Largemouth, Smallmouth and Kentucky Bass. They will

be the only fish counted. Total weight per team will determine your place at the

weigh in. FIVE FISH LIMIT PER BOAT.

10.) ILLEGAL BASS: Each under size bass presented for weigh-in will cause a two(2) pound deduction

from the teams’ total weight.

11.) TIES: In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the MOST FISH per team. If both

teams have the same number of fish, than the team with the LARGEST FISH will be

the winner. If a tie still remains, the winner will be determined by the flip of a coin.

12.) PROTESTS: Protest must be made within fifteen(15) minutes of the conclusion of the weigh-in.

13.) LATE PENALTY: Late for weigh-in will cost one(1) pound per minute.

14.) TRAILING OF BOATS: The trailing of boats during the tournament is PROHIBITED. All boats

must depart and return to the take-off area by water. In the event of a break

down, one partner will be allowed to hitch a ride in order to make the

weigh-in.

15.) SAFTY AND SPORTSMANSHIP: LIFE JACKETS WILL BE MANDATORY FOR TAKE-

OFF AND RETURN. SAFE BOATING AND FISHING MUST BE OBSERVED. KILL

SWITCHES ARE RECOMMENDED.

THIS TOURNAMENT IS A NON-PROFIT FUND RAISING EVENT FOR THE (DAV) Disabled American Veterans van program.

We look forward to seeing you at this tournament. This is a first ever tournament for us. Your participation will help make this an annual event. We hope to see all Chapters represented.
