Directorate : Municipal Manager’s Office

1. Position : Internal Auditor

Post reports to : Municipal Manager

Salary : R 206 462-00-242 889 -00 – 285 754.00 per Annum

Requirements : A degree or diploma in Auditing, general financial management skills, 3- 4 years experience as an Auditor.

Responsibilities : Carry out internal audit function, develop policies and procedures on internal audit, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, ensure safety of municipal assets, and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.

2. Position : Secretary: Community Services

Post reports to : Community Services Manager

Salary : R 77 865 -00 -91 667.00 -107 845 -00 per Annum

Requirements : Grade 12 plus a secretarial diploma or certificate, proficiency in local languages, computer literacy, report writing, 2 years experience as a secretary, good communication skills.

Responsibilities : Do typing work for the Community Services Department, Do bookings and traveling arrangements, make arrangements for refreshments during meetings and manage the diary of the Community Services manager.

3. Position : Supply Chain Management Officer

Reports to : Chief Financial Officer

Salary : R91 667.00 – R107 845.00 – R126 877-00

Requirements: An appropriate degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Procurement Management and /or appropriate proven experience in the field of Procurement and tender management. 2-3 years experience. Computer literacy and Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Manage and establish an effective Demand Management System for the Municipality

Develop, Drafts, formulate and review policies, procedures, manuals and produce management reports related to SCM.

Manage, monitor, recommend and keep record of procurement of goods and services between R30 000 and R150 000 delegated to the CFO by the municipality manager

Promote, recommend and implement SMME and BEE and job creation strategies and programme and compile reports.

Assist the CFO with budget compilation, control and monitoring

Manage and supervise the staff

Manage the disposal of municipal goods no longer needed and or which are redundant.

Manage the submission of statutory reports in terms of the MFMA and SCM regulations.

4. Position: Council Secretary

Salary: R126 887-00 -149 270- 00 – 175 607-00

Requirements: National Secretariat Diploma or equivalent with minimum of 3 years experience. Have a valid driver’s license. Computer literacy (MSExel, MSWord and Power point)is required, whole computer literacy in any other package would be an added advantage. Good communications skills (Written and Verbal) Organizational and planning skills.

Duties: The successful candidate will perform the following main tasks. Act as a secretary to the Council. Prepare a pack for all Council and committee meetings. Record the minutes of all Council meetings as well as the minutes of any committee to which the secretary is assigned. Making sure that all actions are duly noted. Maintain and monitor a calendar of Council and Committee meetings. Handle all council claims. Make all council and committee travel arrangements.
