Effective April 1, 2009

Director of Sales Commission Structure:

Members:

Basic Level: 1 – 16new members in a single month (beginning with the first day of each month) - 30%commission to the salesperson(s) making the

sale.Any new member sale with an investment of $1,000 or more immediately qualifies for a 45% commission.

Level II: 17 +new members in a single month (beginning with the first day

of each month) - 45% commission on the 17th sale and over (30% on sales #1 – 16). Plus mileage at the standard rate (documented).

Expenses, other than documented mileage and phone, must be pre-approved.

Level III:Any salesperson who enrolls 25 or more new members in a month will receive a $250 bonus. A salesperson who enrolls 35 or more new members in a month will receive a $500 bonus. A salesperson who enrolls 50 or more new members in a month will receive a $1,000 bonus. A new member that is the second business of an existing member (must be the same owner) pays ½ their normal dues, but is considered as having paid full dues for purposes of the number of new members a salesperson signs up. New members who pay dues on a semi-annual basis count as ½ a new member for purposes of the bonus.

Any new member who makes less than a full year’s dues payment will be considered as a ½ year member and a commission will be paid on the actual amount received at the time they join. If the balance of the full year’s dues payment is received prior to their renewal billing (five months after they joined), a full commission will be paid on that balance. Payments received after that date are commissionable as described in Membership Renewals.

Members Renewing – 12.5% commission (on members enrolled by the Director of Sales

while theDirector is a full-time employee of the OrangeCounty

Chamber of Commerce).15% commission on renewal of a member whose initial dues were $1,000 or more and continue at that level (on members enrolledby the Director of Sales while theDirector is a full-time employee of the OrangeCounty Chamber of Commerce).

Past Due Members – 12.5% (commission on past due members who renew their membership). All members who are 30 days or more past due in their dues payment appear on the Aging Report. It is the responsibility of the Director of Sales to contact all past due members who appear on the Aging Report. Those past due members who are on the Aging Report for a second month must receive an actual visit to their place of business by the Director of Sales. Other members of the sales staff who contact past due members they signed up will share equally in the 12.5% commission – 6.25% each. Dues checks received within five working days of a member appearing on the 30-day past due list on the Aging Report do not qualify for a Past Due Member commission payment.

Membership Drives – $500 salary for the week of the Membership Drive

Overrides:

The Director of Sales shall receive a 5% override on new member sales made by the

sales staff.

The Director of Sales shall receive a 5% override on any sponsorships, referred by her to the

Manager, Chamber Community Partnerships, and sold by the Manager, Chamber

Community Partnerships.

Directory:

New Directory Ads – 25%.

Directory Ad Renewal – 10% (on ads that are given to the Director of Sales to contact)

Directory Ad Upgrade – 25% (on the increase over the previous ad).

Additional category listings in the Directory - 25%.

Website:

New Website Ads – 30%

Banner Ad Renewals – (On ads originally sold by him/her and renewed because of their

efforts)10% on banner ads only. Commissions are applied after any charges from the website

provider for changes are deducted.

Salary & Expenses:

Base Salary - $300/week for the first three months after being employed as Director of Sales,

$275/week thereafter.

Expenses – Gas/phone allowance up to $200/month with documentation.

Additional expenses on prior approval.

Sales Meetings:

The Director of Sales will meet with the Vice President of Membership Development &

Services at least once a week and schedule a monthly sales meeting with the sales staff.

Dropped Members:

Once a member is dropped, any salesperson may contact that non-member about rejoining.
