Director of Sales and Marketing
Carleton-Willard Village, situated on 72 beautiful acres of woods and meadows in Bedford, Massachusetts, is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community, the first in the state to receive the prestigious CARF-CCAC accreditation. The organization offers independent living, supportive care, skilled nursing, memory care services, rehabilitation, and a licensed outpatient Clinic and AT HOME program. Employing over 360 dedicated staff members, Carleton-Willard is home to over 340 residents with homelike culture, built on relationships and mutual support between staff, residents, and clients.
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for the creation and implementation of successful sales and marketing plans to achieve census targets. (S)he will be responsible for coordinating the organization’s sales and marketing program by executing, formulating and implementing strategies to increase the dissemination of the organization’s sales, marketing and community relations. (S)he will function as part of the executive management team, and will play a major role in the development and implementation of new concepts, products and innovative sales and marketing techniques/approaches.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience working at a high level in sales and marketing in a Life Plan Community. Experience should demonstrate how they have increased and maintained high occupancy in the community or communities where they have worked. A plus would be experience opening new accommodations as part of an expansion or repositioning initiative. The finalist will be a committed individual who by her or his core personal and professional values can become an effective and integral part of the campus. (S)he will have successful strategic sales experience and be knowledgeable of best practices in achieving census goals and be an organized, effective communicator who can speak well to individuals, or to groups, who makes a good first impression, and is empathetic toward others.
