Director of Permanency Support Specialist

The Director of Permanency Support Specialist is responsible for the growth, administration and management of the Therapeutic Foster Care and Adoption Services, which include Home Development, Family Support coordination for intake and program, and the supervision of program staff. This position will be the licensed administrator for the Child Placing Agency.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work or a master’s degree in a human service field from an accredited college or university or have a bachelor’s degree in a social service related field with at least 5 or more years experience working with clients served by DFPS.
  • Three years supervised experience in providing therapeutic foster care and/or adoption services.
  • At least one year of human service supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Eligible to take the Licensed Child-Care Administrator test for CPAs in Texas. Required to pass this test within 6 months of employment.
  • Ability to write clearly, accurately, and descriptively, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and language.
  • Skills in providing administrative, educational and supportive supervision.
  • Ability to develop and administer human service programs.
  • Ability to provide leadership and effectively coordinate the various components of foster care and adoption services.
