Dear Corporate Runner:

Once again, a select group of corporate running teams are invited to compete in the 31st running of the Penn Relays Corporate Distance Medley Relay Championship of America on Friday evening, April 29, 2016 at approximately 7:00 pm at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia!

The Penn Relays are the oldest and largest track meet in the world - and the Corporate Distance Medley Relay (DMR) is the only corporate running event at the Relays. The DMR consists of 1200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m legs respectively. All 4 runners must be regular, paid employees (or retirees) of the same employer[1]. Consultants, temps and interns are not eligible to compete. Each team must have at least one female runner, one master runner (age 40 or older in 2016), and two runners of any age or sex.

The event is limited to the first 30 teams to deliver paid registrations no later than Tuesday, April 5. Once the 30 team limit is reached, the event is closed. Due to the increasing popularity of the event, there is a limit of 1 entry per employer except for teams with a previous Top 5 finish. Full entry information is enclosed. The entry fee is a contribution of $250 per team payable to the "University of Pennsylvania" to help support the Penn Relays.

Last year, for the third consecutive time, Alter G from Fremont, California won the event in a winning time of 11:18.50. All four Alter G runners received Penn Relay watches and members of the other top five teams each took home individual Penn Relay medals. Complete results are listed on page 4.

For 2016, the track at Franklin Field has been beautifully re-surfaced and promises to produce world class times; however, regardless of your team’s ability, all are encouraged to come out and compete in this unique and memorable event. For more information, go to or contact me directly at or 215.275.6215.

I hope your team can join us for the 2016 Penn Relays Corporate DMR Championship of America!

Sincerely,

Stew Beltz
