Swimmers and Parents,

Summertime is fast approaching, and with summer comes the re-opening of your favorite swimming pool! This summer Dunlap School District #323, with the assistance of the Dunlap High School Swim & Dive Team, will offer a multi-level swim lessons program sure to meet any swimmers needs.

Lessons will be split into four sessions. Each session will offer 8 lessons over a two week period with a full evaluation report card passed out on the final day of the session.

Swim Lesson Cost

1 Session=$42.00

2 Sessions=$80.00 ($4.00 discount)

3 Sessions=$115.00 ($11.00 discount) All four Sessions=$145.00 ($23.00 discount)

(9:00-9:30)~(9:50-10:20)~(10:40-11:10)~(11:30-12:00)

(There will be no refunds or make up classes of a lesson session, class, or practice if missed, NO EXCEPTIONS.)

(All lessons must be paid for in advance to receive a discounted price. Payment options are Cash or Checks made out to Dunlap High School. )

Dunlap will again offer an open swim to the general public starting June 5th.

Open Swim Hours

(pool will close if no swimmers arrive within the first hour)

*Monday-Thursday:12:30-3:00*Friday& SaturdaySundays: Closed

(The pool may close some days throughout the summer
if the swim team is out of town or the pool needs maintenance. A public notice
will be posted on the pool door the day of a closing.)

This Years Levels

(Swimmers are subject to a level change based upon the instructor’s daily evaluation.)

Level 1:This class is for the beginner swimmer. Swimmers will work on maintaining a good comfortlevel in and under the water. They will also learn the basics of kicking using a kick board, and master front and back floats and front and back glides. (Ages 4-8)

Level 2:This class is for swimmers able to float by themselves. Swimmers at this level will learn thebasic fundamentals of the front crawl (freestyle), backstroke, and start to learn the breaststroke kick (frog leg kick). They will also work on basic dives. (Ages 5-12)

Level 3:This class is for the swimmer able to swim freestyle and backstroke on their own without anyassistance the length of the pool (25 yards). At this level swimmers will learn freestyle rotary breathing, the complete breaststroke, and butterfly kicking. At this level diving off a diving board and starting platform will be worked on. (Ages 6&Up)

Level 4:This class is for the swimmer who has learned and can complete a 25 yard swim of freestyle,backstroke, and breaststroke legally. This class will teach the final stroke, the butterfly and also work on endurance swimming using all four strokes. Starts from a platform and diving board will be worked on daily as well as flip turns and open turns. (Ages 6&Up)
