Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design (IAAD) is pleased to announce that the press conference to present the Third Edition of the European Master of Science in Design - Majoring Transportation Design, developed by IAAD in collaboration with Italdesign Giugiaro, will be heldon Friday, February 18th at 2:00 pm at the headquarters of Italdesign Giugiaro.

The theme of the thesis will be announced during the conference directly by Giorgetto Giugiaro.
The Master has a duration of one year (April 2011 - March 2012) and provides a choice of three addresses of specialization: car design, motorcycle / scooter design and sustainable mobility; it is also recognized by EABHES for the attainment of the European Master of Science Design, by the acquisition of a total of 60 ECTS credits for a total of 1500 training hours.
The course is intended for graduates in Industrial Design and Automotive Engineering, or students who have a postgraduate diploma in Industrial and Transportation Design and candidates who have gained significant professional experience in the field of transportation.
The Master addresses the issues of mobility and the main means of transport in an Italian way of thinking about design and style, famous all over the world; it deals with systems, products and solutions to improve mobility in contemporary society with particular attention to environmental sustainability.
With the aim to ensure outstanding training and development of a teaching model to date and dynamic, able to act as "innovation centre", the Master identified in experimentation its main methodological attitude and in flexibility in teaching the instrument to ensure constant updating of professional profiles.
At the same time, it will be made announcement of the 2nd edition of IAAD TURIN DESIGN WORKSHOP, 6 synergy developed workshops on "Urban Regeneration", scheduled for February 21st to 25th. The workshops will involve about 150 students, 20 teachers, many professionals and companies in the sector and key regional institutions.
The results of the workshop will be presented to the public on Friday, February 25th at 3:00 pm at the convention centre of Regione Piemonte – Corso Stati Uniti 23, Turin.
