An Affair of the Heart Tulsa history

·  This year makes the 22nd anniversary of the show in Tulsa.

·  The July 14-16, 2017, show will be the 35th show in Tulsa.

·  The show occurs twice annually, in July and in November.

·  The first Tulsa show was held in July 1995. The November show was added in 2007.

·  An Affair of the Heart started in 1985 in Oklahoma City with 60 booths and 800 attendees.

Present information

·  An Affair of the Heart is Tulsa’s largest marketplace for unique and independent retailers, showcasing nearly 500 pop-up shops at the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.

·  Attendance is estimated at 25,000 people, which is slightly less than Owasso’s population.

·  The shows feature goods in a variety of categories, including: jewelry, accessories, home décor, food items, children’s items, apparel, furniture, antiques and more.

·  A wide variety of business owners showcased: artists, craftsmen, retail store owners, online companies or show-only crafters.

·  Many items are handmade, handcrafted or repurposed and are hard to find elsewhere.

·  Debuting in the July 2017 show is the Makers’ Market, which will feature 16 artists and craftsmen in the center aisle.

Logistics

·  The shows are located at the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.

·  Tickets are $8 and are good for all three days. Parking is free. Kids 12 and under get in free. Cash or check is required to buy tickets at the door. Tickets can be purchased online with a process fee.

·  Media parking is available near the south doors of the River Spirit Expo, or along the concrete wall near the building.
