Study.

_____ Read the Diamond 230 Manual Introduction.

_____ Read the Diamond 230 Manual Module 1.

Practice and Reflect.

In the “reflect” portions of the following exercises, please type in a paragraph in response to the prompts:

_____ Practice. Perform a self-therapy exercise: Find an intention and choose the primary Diamond among your pair. For the first half of the session, place the secondary Diamond in a bowl and apply the primary one using single Diamond applications. Midway through the therapy place the primary Diamond in the bowl and apply the secondary Diamond. Pay attention to the support provided by the Diamond in the bowl.

_____ Reflect. There will be a difference when the primary and secondary Diamonds take a supportive role. Describe what this feels like to you. Where did your attention tend to go in each case?

_____ Practice. Perform a self-therapy exercise. Find an intention and choose a primary Diamond. Tape the secondary Diamondtable to your ankle. In this case, pay attention to the relationship between the primary and secondary Diamonds throughout the session. Midway through, switch the Diamonds so the primary one is now taped to your ankle.

_____ Reflect. Describe what the connection between the two Diamonds felt like. Were you able to pay attention to it throughout the session? What did you notice when you switched the position of the primary and secondary Diamonds?

_____ Practice. Perform a self-therapy exercise. Find an intention and choose a primary Diamond. Hold the primary in one hand and the secondary in the other. As you think about your intention, hold one at a master point, and apply the other in your aura. This exercise will support your dexterity and your ability to let go your mind and simply allow the Diamonds to go where they want to. Don’t worry about which Diamond goes to the master points and which is applied in the aura. Try to become detached and observe the Diamonds working with you like two practitioners working in tandem.

_____ Reflect. Describe your experience of the above exercise. Were you able to let go your mind and observe the Diamonds as they moved independently yet worked together?

_____ Practice. Perform a self-therapy: Choose a target area and then choose a primary Diamond. Perform the first half of the session with the primary Diamond table taped to the target point. Midway through the session, swap Diamonds. Pay attention to how it feels in each case.

_____ Reflect. Describe the difference in how it felt when the primary and secondary Diamonds were placed on the target point. Where was your attention? What sensations occurred in the target area in each case?

Practice With Clients.

Practice the following techniques and respond to the questions. Select a primary Diamond in each case. Repeat the exercises until you can score at least a “3” for each exercise.

_____ Place one Diamond in a bowl, while using the other to perform single-Diamond applications with your client.

_____ On a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being “not so good” and 5 being “very good,” how would you rate your sense of the connection between the two Diamonds? Circle your answer.

(not so good) 1 2 3 4 5 (very good)

Reflection. Please type in a paragraph in response to the prompt:

_____ At this time, what are your goals with the work? What do you hope to achieve and be able to do at the end of the course? What are you most wanting to learn?

Remote Skill Building.

_____ Watch the Power Point “Evaluating Energy Flows.”

_____ Practice each of the movements. In this exercise, you won’t be associating them with any particular target area, just get accustomed to what it feels like to move your hands in each of these ways.

_____ Practice the movements with five different target areas (or system windows) on your body, holding one Diamond in one hand, table facing your opposite palm. You may do this exercise in one or more sittings as you like. Name what movement you initially discovered at that area. Continue following the movements until they improve, and become vitalizing.

A variation of this exercise is to select one target area and work with it over five sessions, reporting the rhythms discovered in each session.

Area / Movements
Ex. / Stomach / Untorquing, unwinding, vitalizing/shallow.

_____ Share with your friends on Facebook that you are taking this class and tell them how you feel about it. Write what you are comfortable saying. If you don’t have Facebook, tell three people about it. (This is agood step to building your practice, and is best done now. By doing so, you invite your friends to take the journey with you. When later you tell them you’ve graduated and are now a fully certified Diamond Therapy practitioner, they’ll be able to celebrate with you. It will then be more comfortable and appropriate to ask them for referrals if you want to do that.)

______Write in your personal journal how the above exercise made you feel, what you wrote or said, and how others responded. Also please share what you can here, so that we and other GTI students can learn from your experience.

Prepare for Next Class.

_____ Read in the Diamond 230 Manual, the sections on Synchronizing and Distance Interfaces.
