Fun Ferns is a netball league for children in years 2 and 3. We offer them an opportunity to take part in a team sport and to learn ball skills, teamwork and fair play. Fun Ferns aims to foster a supportive and encouraging environment that is fun for all participants and their supporters.

We ask all players, coaches, parents and other supporters to:

consider players’ maturity, commitments and enjoyment when scheduling practices

thank and congratulate the other team, the coaches and the umpires after each game

remember that playing as well as you can and enjoying the game is more important than winning

Just as netball has rules, we have a code of conduct that we expect players, their parents and all spectators to follow.

If a player fails to comply with this code of conduct, they may be asked to leave the court for the duration of the game.

If a parent or spectator fails to comply with this code of conduct, they may be asked to leave the courts

If the player, parent or spectator doesn’t comply with such requests, the relevant game or games may be stopped – in worst case, the relevant team may be excluded from competition
