- Further to tonight’s committee meeting I apologise for my continued absence and hope the following help to explain the situation:
Accounts summary as of today, please note that whilst a large surplus is shown there is over £3800 outstanding in notified unclaimed expenses which still leaves a healthy surplus of over £2k
Key points for report:
All 2010/11 invoiced fees now collected including PlymouthUniversity ( in December) PMSL , ELSL & EMSL only recently agreed and invoiced
All invoices for 2011/12 first half of season sent out with charging basis club status as at Jan 6th Plymouth University have advised they are awaiting sponsorship to settle theirs!, this is same argument as last season when I gave them some leeway to pay. Some clubs have already submitted payment
Umpiring course held in Plymouth in November invoiced.
Bill recently received from HA for Exeter Level 1 course
Nearly all membership fees from active umps received but DMc can advise further
Mileage rates now corrected to those agreed at AGM- those who have claimed pre-Xmas will be due an additional amount to make up shortfall from payments issued to date.
Still not clear as to how we will fund / subsidise the issue of jackets to members, committee to advise.

-Meeting with gradings in December
-Coaching day after EGM
-Previous well received
-Exchange with Kent UA coach and three umpires 25th Feb Devon to Kent. Reverse 2nd March GW and PH to select. Thanks to PH and AH.

-Level 2 umpire coaches course organised with 4 candidates

Several still unpaid but have expenses accruing especially in Neutral Pool. Will contact those still owing soon.

-Now have games Marjons 11th March and 18th March
-Foundation course wanted in North Devon

-RT Red Card to be easier to find.
-Meeting Places to be identified in Exeter and Plymouth
-Higher umpires to do lower games if asked
-Reminder emails are necessary but glitch sends too many at once. PP to check
-KD to headhunt treasurer
-Website asking under 21s candidates for fees. PP to check
-Some subs not showing as paid.
-Mentors to be attached to umpires
-CRB checks PE to be registered to check CRBs
-DHUA to use Gamebreaker to videocoach umpires approx £100 + £20 a game
-Considering developing Devon Maters League in summers
-West leagues restructuring means less teams in lower leagues. PP to propose raising of level that candidates can umpire when coached.
