Position Announcement

The Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota (CCF) invites applications and nominations for the position of Development/Gift Planning Officer. CCF is the largest Catholic community foundation in the country, nationally known for its grant-making, donor-centered focus, knowledge of the Catholic community in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and commitment to Catholic social teaching. The Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota is dedicated to supporting the educational, social and spiritual needs of the Catholic community.

The Development/Gift Planning Officer is a visible advocate and leader responsible for planning and executing fundraising plans that grow impact through growing awareness and growing funds. This individual will be part of a team of four full-time development professionals, a marketing/communication director, a gift administrator and a database manager.

The successful candidate will possess a record of leadership and achievement in the field of development with a proven track record of fundraising success, especially with annual giving, major and planned gift solicitations. Strong organizational, collaboration, initiative, and leadership capabilities are required. Exemplary interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to favorably affect sophisticated volunteers and donors.

The candidate also will display a personal commitment to the mission of the Catholic church. The ability to work effectively with many constituencies including Board members, donors, professional advisors, and other Catholic focused groups is highly valued. Other important characteristics include a strong work ethic, personal integrity, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and planning skills. Evidence of a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth is helpful.

A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s/law degree is preferred. A minimum of threeyears of progressively-responsible experience in advancement, preferably in a Catholic school, college, university, parish or other dynamic non-profit development program is preferred.
