Developer, Drupal—Temporary Contract position

Startup America Partnership is an independent private-sector alliance intended to dramatically increase the development, prevalence and success of innovative, high-growth U.S. firms. The Startup America Partnership will work closely with the White House to advance the goals of its Startup America initiative. The Partnership will bring together top entrepreneurs, start-up firm funders, CEOs, university presidents, foundations, and other leaders to help entrepreneurial companies start or grow, and partners will contribute funds to existing proven models or develop new programs and efforts to help entrepreneurs.

Startup America Partnership is looking for a web developer with extensive knowledge of the Drupal platform to serve in a temporary position (approximately 1 month). The developer will work with the Startup America team and partners to assist in building a database that will provide users with resources and serve as a social networking site for entrepreneurs and Startup America partners.

The developer will report to the Director of Technology for the Case Foundation, one of Startup America’s partners. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of a new platform with major partners for an organization that seeks to support and accelerate entrepreneurship in America. This is a temporary position based out of Washington, D.C.

Candidate Requirements:

•  Gather requirements and architect solutions on the Drupal platform

•  Adapt/develop robust business user workflow processes

•  Develop Drupal modules, templates, and themes

•  Deep understanding of Drupal solution architecture scenarios

•  Comprehensive knowledge of common Drupal modules

•  Thorough understanding and experience with the Drupal API

•  Experience with module development

•  Understanding of Drupal template system

•  Solid development practices

•  Solid experience with Drupal programming

•  Strong experience with PHP programming

•  Strong experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript

•  Excellent troubleshooting skills

•  Experience with enterprise scale Drupal implementations

•  Practical application of business user work-flow solutions

•  Knowledge of Drupal performance optimization practices

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

•  5-7 years of relevant experience in web application development with recent experience as a technical lead

·  Salesforce/Drupal or Linkedin/Drupal integration experience is a plus

Compensation:

$5-10,000/month, commensurate with experience.
