JOB TITLE:
Engineering Manager / REPORTING TO:
MD Structures & Systems
Purpose:
To provide leadership in the Engineering Function across both of RLC’s manufacturing facilities in NI which form the Structures & Systems Division
KEY RESULT AREAS
  • Develop and implement an engineering strategy for each of the Value Streams to enable business growth
  • Leadership and development of a multi functional Engineering Team including: machining, assembly, NPI, chemical treatments, automation and processing
  • Operate within a matrix organization, ensure the Engineering function is fully integrated and contributing to divisional and business goals
  • Develop an annual budget and KPIs that are delivered
  • Identify and deliver on capital investment opportunities that help to differentiate our offering and deliver on efficiencies
  • Ownership and management of the NPI gated process
  • Actively support sales and operations planning
  • Develop and foster customer relationships, always being an advocate of RLC and achieving customer intimacy and understanding
  • Ownership of all appropriate business tools and metrics ensuring that they are used with maximum impact to drive performance
  • Focus on developing and improving our processes to provide additional capacity and efficiencies within the function and throughout the division
  • Act as a strong inspirational leader and coach team members ensuring all people actions and processes are initiated and followed through to deliver enabled, empowered and engaged employees
  • Engage in appropriate escalation such that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely way
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the entire business in order to foster teamwork and collective accountability
  • Ensure the utmost focus and highest standards with respect to Health,Safety and Environment
  • Any additional tasks or duties deemed necessary to meet all responsibilities of the role


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
•A degree in an engineering discipline
Essential experience
•A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Engineering Manager role within a manufacturing environment

KEYS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Salary Competitive Salary
Hours of work Dayshift
8.00am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday
8.00am to 1.00 pm Friday (37 hour week)
