2016 NACE Table Top WOW Rules and Requirements for Entry

Theme

All tables must incorporate the theme of “Our World in a Setting”. Any tables that do not somehow represent the theme will not be considered for winning awards.

Guest Table

  • All tables will be 66” Rounds. No other tables will be considered for Judging.
  • Your entire design must fit into a 10’ X 10’ space.
  • The table must be functional – meaning that guests must be able to sit down and eat dinner with your design in place.
  • Your design must accommodate a minimum of 6 guests, more are permitted.
  • Chair Covers & Linens has offered to donate linen for any group table. If interested please email . Please note that you will be on your own to select the linen (no consultation from CCL will be provided). Also your team will be responsible for picking up and returning all items.

Categories

  • Entries will be categorized by value that it would take to recreate the table:
  • Under $500
  • Over $500

Judging

  • Four awards will be presented.
  • (2) People’s Choice:
  • Guests attending will each have one ticket per category and drop their ticket in the respective fish bowl of that table. Additional tickets may be purchased.
  • (2) Judge’s Choice:
  • Three independent judges will select the top table in each category.

Rules of Entry

  • ANYONE can be apart of the design team for table vignette. The lead designer can recruit anyone (NACE and non-NACE members) to join their team and create their tabletop design. You must enter by October 12, 2016, one week prior to the event.
  • Entry forms must be emailed to Kate Mahanic at

by5 PM on October 12, 2016.

  • Include the lead designer’s name, company and any team member’s names.
  • The name of your team should not indicate the participants’ names/companies, as voting is anonymous.
  • Applicants must keep the same name and same category as original commitment.
  • NACE members can enter a table at NO CHARGE.
  • Non-NACE member applicants will be charged $50 to enter a table.
  • Late entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis pending availability.
  • All designers and design team must purchase a ticket to attend the meeting. No complimentary tickets will be given for table designers or their teammates.
  • Venue’s rules must be Followed:
  • No Hanging from the Ceiling
  • Electricity can be arranged. You must notify Kate Mahanicby October 12th

of any electricity requests.

  • Designers may begin load in and set-up no earlier than 10am on October 19, 2016,

NO EXCEPTIONS. Any designer that tries to begin setup any earlier will be disqualified.

  • All tables must be complete by 5:30pm SHARP!
  • All tables must be torn down at the end of the event – nothing may be left overnight.
