NOTE (1): NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer even for candidates having Ph.D. degree. However, the candidates who have completed M. Phil. degree by 31st December, 1993 or have submitted Ph.D. thesis to the university in the concerned subject on or before 31st December, 2002 are exempted from appearing in the NET examination. In case such candidates fail to obtain Ph.D. degree, they shall have to pass the NET examination. Further, NET exemption may be granted in the subjects where no NET examination is held by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC. In such case, the candidates shall be compulsorily required to clear the NET within a period of two years from the date of issue of communication of exemption by UGC.

NOTE (2): Where Class / Division is not awarded at B.E/M.E/Equivalent degree, minimum 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/division. In case Grade Point system CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as per AICTE guidelines (Table –E 6).

NOTE (3): Posts in Sl. No. 1 to 9 and 16 to 22 are purely temporary, but are likely to be permanent.

NOTE (4): For the post at Sl. No. 10 & 11, requirement of 55% of marks at Master’s degree shall be reduced as per the UGC norms for the candidates who are already in service in the University system.

NOTE (5): For all posts, the required marks at Master’s degree for SC/ST candidates shall be 50% only.

NOTE (6): The post of Stenographer Gr-III (Sl. No. 23) may be converted to the post of Lower Division Clerk subject to approval of the UGC.

NOTE (7): Those in employment should submit their applications through proper channel or enclose “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer.

3. APPLICATION FEE:

Rs. 300/- (Rupees 150/- for SC/ST) for teaching posts and Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST) for all Non-teaching posts.

Application fee (not refundable) to be sent along with filled in application in the form of Bank draft drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of Registrar, Tezpur University and payable at Tezpur.

4. PROCEDURE OF SUBMISSION:

Two copies of completed application forms are to be submitted. Copies of certificates / mark sheets / research publications (only in standard journals) etc. (only one set and not two) to be attached with the application. Incomplete application shall be rejected.

5. LAST DATE:

The last date of receipt of completed application form is 01.05.2006.

Candidates will have to appear at an interview / written test at their own cost as and when called for.

University reserves the right to shortlist the applications. Mere submission of application form does not confer any right to be called for interview.
