1 / Storage, loading, unloading and transportation of Mini- Marquee. / Incorrect storage leading to deterioration of framework and/or canvass work - increased risk of injury. / 1a. Inspect parts for damage.

2 / Site assessment and preparation / Collapse due to unstable or unsuitable surface or fixture points / 2a. Assess ground conditions, ie soft/hard (eg. tent peg test on soil) 2b. Check suitability of assembly area prior to event.
Unsuitable assembly location due to overhead or underground hazards. / 2c. Contact site administrator or event organiser for information on obstructions or height restrictions and relocate if necessary.
Weather conditions, eg high wind. / 2d. Monitor MET weather reports prior/during event.

3 / Assemble and disassembly of Marquee / Lifting/loading/unloading heavy equipment / 3a. Carry out activities iaw manufactures guidance.
3b. Inspect parts (for damage) before assembly.
3c. Arrange four (4 Officers) suitably trained & briefed supervisors for assembly/ disassembly of equipment.
Raising corners of unit to ‘assembly’ height and ‘operating’ heights – injury from collapse hazard / 3d. Ensure simultaneous lift by four (4 Officers) personnel (minimum requirement).

Attachment of weight distribution plate to uprights (finger trapping hazard). / 3g. Ensure sufficient adult staff and/or instructor cadet available (& briefed) to lift and hold upright whilst plate fitted.

3i. Brief those concerned on equipment/ tools use
4 / Continued operation and use of Mini-marquee during event. / Weakening/collapse of structure due to loose pegs or fixtures / 4a. Monitor pegs and weights during event - adjust if necessary.
4b. Keep unauthorised personnel, (eg public) away from fixtures, pegs and guide ropes.
Structural failure due to overcrowding. Slip, trip, fall, crushing of personnel / 4c. Monitor in/out flow of personnel, ie public & ACO.
